My contract is up at the end of March. Although I've been re-assured that my contract will be renewed, I thought I would test the waters for something better. This position came up, so I thought I'd throw in my resume. I just wanted some feedback on it. Also, cover letters and references were not mentioned in the job description. Should I include them as well? Should my resume be 2 pages including the cover letter, or 2 pages plus my cover letter? Do I email it using MS Word 97?
please, feel free to give me feedback
job description
cover letter
resume
p.s. don't worry about the web format, I just converted a word document into a webpage using the Save As feature!

I use objective to talk about myself not about what I want ( I want their job right ? )
Advanced knowledge of networking technologies?
Knowledge and practice of programming standards for all languages ? And ?
Your resume is confusing, Doesn't tell me what you know, what technology u used, what kind of problem u solved. U need to reword it.
Basically forget about yourself and print it put it infront of you ( think that u r a HR person )and ask yourself would I buy this?
It is a game and play it right.

In my resume I have a profile then a career objective. I put the specific skills against each position.
Limit the skills in your profile. delete the bit about all languages. Cut down on the databases, delete networking technologies, say you are comfortable working in a mixed environment (Win32/Unix).... here, let me have a go
Profile:
12 months VB Experience
12 months Java Experience
12 months SQL server Experience
Proven full life cycle development
Enterprise Application Integration Experience
Career Objective:
A Development position where my professional experience and technical knowledge can be exploited and increased. I am keen to develop my Java and Database skills.
Be sure to only say what YOU did, not some other guy in the team did. Be sure to say how many people were in each team (team of 1?).
Keep it clear, concise and accurate.

it's kind of funny looking at it now. At the time I originally created my resume was 2 years ago. I guess I was a little too broad in my skill description ( maybe even feeling inadequate because I was new to the field ). I'll try to cut it down to what is relevant to the position I'm applying for.
thanks for the comments, and keep 'em coming.
version 2 is ready for critiquing. I've try to focus on the technologies relevant to the position and give more details on the technology used in my work experience.
