Hi guys,
I am working on Visual Age 3.5.
I was just doing some research on session objects and how much performance is improved if we remove the session objects.Has anyone else checked out the perfomance improvement and is there any analyser tool for it.
Know details about the Heap recovery speed of the garbage collector.
Thanks in advance.

There's several analyzer tools one can use to profile a Java application.
Optimizeit is one, JProbe is another. I'd be very wary of any "remove all session beans" solution. Session beans serve a specific purpose in an architecture. What are you planning to replace session beans with? Entity beans? Not the same thing. Homebrewed classes? Then why the overhead of an application server?
Profile the application, see where the bottlenecks are, review your design, make some changes, re-profile the application and see if you have an improvement. Repeat as needed.
Make sure your hardware is up to the task. I worked for an organization that was trying to run a J2EE app on a Pentium server with 256megs of RAM. The managers were complaining about what a dog Java was. We brought in a dual-Itanium server with 1gig of RAM and a RAID and showed them their one-minute queries executing in seconds. If you don't have enterprise-class hardware, don't be surprised when enterprise applications don't run.
