Hello All,
Hope someone here can give me some pointers.
Oh wait, no pointers in java
Anyway, I'm playing around with 3d graphics programming and I've been exploring java3d. I've made good progress, I have a Swing application with a canvas3d in it where I can draw simple shapes. I've added three jsliders that I can use to translate my objects along the x,y,z axes. Pretty neat. Now I've tried to add sliders to rotate the objects, when I do this I get a lot of flicker. The object get's moved back to the origin, rotated, and moved back where it was. I think to fix this you need to do your translating/rotating on a hidden buffer and do some kind of buffer swap when you're done but I can't figure out how to do that. Any pointers to some examples or advice on how this is done??
Any Help Appreciated,
