1. I am using a JCombBox. When I first open it won't let me select the first item until I have selected some other items first.

2. Also, a JComboBox doesn't seem to let me select the same item twice consecutively.

3. What are the classes to access the systems in order to obtain the date and time?

Thanks to anyone with an answer.

The swing questions should probably be posted in the forum for that, but for Date/Time classes you should take a look at java.util.Date and java.util.Calendar.

As two thirds of the questions are to do with Swing, I'm moving this to the Swing / AWT / SWT / JFace forum...
