Hi,

I used POI API to create a excel file on UNIX machine, but could not open it in Windows platform. The error message is something like the following:

...cannot be accessed. The file may be read-only, or you may be trying to access a read-only location, Or, the server the document is stored on may not be responding

Has anyone out there ever experiences anything like this and have a solution for it?

Thanks in advance,
Jasmine

Hi,

Not sure, but the reason may be, that u dont have proper rights to access the excel file on the server. check the access control list of the server.

Ashish.
