I'm trying to use our company's remote Exchange server to send an email with JavaMail. I was using Transport.send() but that seemed to stop working after a while (almost as if the server wised up to the fact that I was just using them without authenticating). So then I tried to add authentication, but it's not sending anything, and it doesn't appear to be claiming that I'm not authenticating--only that the mail server refuses to deliver to the recipient. But I even tried it with email addresses that the server hosts, including the user that I'm trying to authenticate with! What am I doing wrong? Thanks...

Write Connection and a Transport handlers (see the JavaDocs) and get them to log JavaMail's activity. Also, enable SMTP debugging so you can watch the messages. And speak to the person who administers your Exchange server - it may be that the server has a limit of the amount of message one client can send (though that is a wild stab in the dark guess - hence the need to speak to your server admin!)
