Hi All,

I have a requirement. I need to load any image (gif or jpeg) into Image buffer. And then i should let the user draw shapes (line, circle etc) on the image as a separate layer. Is there any API to do this rendering of shapes/test over images in Java. Can anyone please help me regarding this.

Thanks in Advance.

I have a project on sourceforge that may do what you want.

IMGen

You can load an image and then draw Java2D shapes on it using the api. You can then render the image.

If you end up using it, please let me know what you think. Contact information is on the site.

Hope this helps.
