Hello all,
I'm trying to add some sound to this game that I am writing, and I've decided to use the Java Sound API for it. I'm able to play the sound that I want to when I call the function, but it won't respond after that . I've tried clip.setFramePosition(0) to reset the playhead, but that doesn't work. here's a link to the code that I'm trying to use:
mercurium.net/Sound.java
I suppose I can just use the java.applet.AudioClip interface, but I've been told that I'm limited to 8bit sound with that.

Any help would be appreciated.

Nevermind, problem solved! It would help if I didn't close the file after it plays

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
