I am attempting to use the "Java Message Service Tutorial" by Jim Haase

the following passage is from this tutorial

With the J2EE SDK, for example, you can use the default connection factory
objects, named QueueConnectionFactory and TopicConnectionFactory, to create
connections. You can also create new connection factories by using the following
commands:
j2eeadmin -addJmsFactory jndi_name queue
j2eeadmin -addJmsFactory jndi_name topic

How is it possible for the command

j2eeadmin -addJmsFactory jndi_name queue

to create an effective connection factory? - - There is no Queue Manager specified (I am using MQSeries 5.3) and the purpose of the connection factory is to allow connection to a Queue Manager.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
