hi all,
One problem I am currently facing is that I could not preserve foreign chars like SS whenever I send an automated email.I could see all these chars getting replaced with '?'-symbol.
Plz note..I could preserve these chars both in front and back-ends successfully.
Do we need to configure any settings in the mail-server??Plz help me out

Welcome to JavaRanch.

So this question is about sending emails, not about JSP? The important questions would be: what encoding is the text in, and do you specify that encoding/charset whenever you use the text? Make sure you set the Content-type header of the email accordingly.
