Hi

I have new tomcat 5 setup with jdk 1.5 on a Linux Server.
I have written a jsp in an app which just attaches a file and sends the mail.
I have observed that a Standalone program in the same server is able to attach the file and transfer the mail whereas the jsp program doesnt report any issues but when I see the mail from jsp program(standalone program converted into jsp) , there is no file attached and even the content is not there, only the subject appears.

When I looked at the trace I found that after attaching the file

DEBUG SMTP SENT: NOOP
DEBUG SMTP RCVD: 451 Timeout waiting for client input

this is being displayed.After this I send the mail.
Please help me out with this,not sure why the standalone is running and not jsp.
Thanks
Ravi

I think the SMTP Host is a Exchange Server.
First time when I ran the standalone program I got
==========After attaching the file=======================
DEBUG SMTP SENT: NOOP
DEBUG SMTP RCVD: 250 Ok

First Time when I ran the jsp
==========After attaching the file=======================
DEBUG SMTP SENT: NOOP
DEBUG SMTP RCVD: 250 2.0.0 OK

Next time onwards when I ran the jsp
==========After attaching the file=======================
DEBUG SMTP SENT: NOOP
DEBUG SMTP RCVD: 451 Timeout waiting for client input
