There are tools available to create java proxies for a COM object such as bridge2java from IBM.

Can these be manually created without the help of any such tool?
If yes, please guide me how.

Also, i looked at the proxies created by bridge2java and there is nothing much difficult in it.

public void ConvertPPT2HTML(String PPTFileName, String HTMLFileName)
Jvariant args[] = {new Jvariant(PPTFileName,VT_BSTR), new Jvariant(HTMLFileName,VT_BSTR)};
invoke_method_void(args, 0x60030005, DISPATCH_METHOD);

This is code of one of the methods created in proxies.
I am unable to understand certain stuffs in this...
what is VT_BSTR, and 0x60030005 ..
This hex code, is it some memory location of dll?

Can i get that from the registry?

Please comment.
