How do i send mail using the JavaMail API through a proxy server?
I have connected to the net through a proxy server and I also have a firewall installed. When I try to execute demo programs given in JavaMail API, I do not get any errors and everything seems to be ok, but my mail has not reached the destination.

You can only send mail via a proxy with JavaMail if the proxy is configured to relay whatever transport protocol you are using. Assuming this is SMTP, you need your proxy to allow that protocol over whatever port you are using. Proxy servers tend not to be configured to do this though.
