Hi Folks,
have you come accross any "java barcode pacakge", which will convert an input text into Barcode format/generate a barcode image?

Please let me know, if you know any?

Barcode4J, jbarcodebean and barbecue are open source packages that generate barcodes.

If PDF is acceptable instead of an image format, then iText can do this as well.

Hi Ulf,
wow, you have just touched the right note...yeah, I do need to write barcode in a PDF file, which will reprsent one 7 digit number.
