The JMF faq says that "It is posisible to build fully- featured standard-based conferencing solutions on JMF if you combine it with conferencing protocols like H.323." How feasible is it as a student project? And what are the requied prerequisites?
It is very much feasible . Infact my team did make a fully functional real time video conferencing product using JMF , along with chatting and whiteboard as a college project .
Dont remember how exactly we configured JMF, but the configuration was not much trouble . As far as I remember , the JMF examples were great help .
I m new to JMF. I am trying to use AVTransmit2.java and AVReceive2.java given by SUN. The problem is if i try to send using AVTransmit2 and on the receiving side it si JMStudio then i m able to transmit video to the receiver but when i try to receieve the video by AVReciever2 transmitted by AVTransmit2.java i am not being able to play or get any RTP Data. One thing to be noted is the DataSource returned by the Stream which is extracted from the event StreamMappedEvent in AVReceiver2.java is giving null.
