API for submitting forms automatically  RSS feed

hai

i am srinivas, new to this forum.
i had a task in java which needs to submit html forms automatically( which includes connecting to url and logging in and finding & filling the form ).
can anybody help me out in pointing out the API (if already there) and/or any tutorial for this.

Welcome to JavaRanch.

The jWebUnit library can be used for this. Don't be put off by the fact that it's billed as a testing framework - it is very handy for building HTTP clients of all kinds.

thank you sir.
but i have a problem with jwebunit
it is unable execute javascript functions which are not declared in the current html page but by <script src="abc.js"/> tag
can you please provide me help(either in fixing this or in looking for an alternative)
 
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
