java mail strip a dot in the template

Hey, guys, did you guy ever have this problem before.

I used velocity template to load email template, when user open the email in their mailbox, there is a period missing in an href tag. This only happened to my French template though, I think it might due to the character encoding, but after I double checked the template file, everything looks alright, and the template is encoded in utf-8.

Any ideas
