Hi,

I am working on a project which involves the creation of Symmetric keys for the data exchange between the 2 parties. I have generated the keys in Sun JCE format and am in dire need to get them converted to IBM JCE. Can anyone help me with providing the utility available to achieve this?

Hello "Prodigy 584"-

Welcome to JavaRanch.

On your way in you may have missed that we have a policy on screen names here at JavaRanch. Basically, it must consist of a first name, a space, and a last name, and not be obviously fictitious. Since yours does not conform with it, please take a moment to change it, which you can do right here.

As to your question, keys are specific to algorithms, not to JCE implementations. If you have a key for AES, it's good no matter whether the AES implementation is from Sun or IBM. Are you experiencing problems with cross-implementation compatibility?

Sorry about the screen name thing, and yes I am having issues with the cross-implementations.

And what issues are those - what are you doing that you think should work that doesn't? Are there any error messages? What is the code that's causing problems?
