Hi,

I am trying to connect my outlook express with my Javamail program in Eclipse 3.2 There is no other relevant software installed in this machine.

Code is as follows:

Properties props = new Properties();
Session session = Session.getInstance (props, null);
Store store = session.getStore("IMAP4");

The last line is throwing NoSuchProviderException. I have changed "IMPA4" to "POP3" and the result is the same.

Can you please help me out?

Is the JavaMail program an email server (like James)? If not, OE won't be able to access it.

Hi Ulf,

Do you suggest me to install a free download email server? Can you please suggest me any name?

I'm not suggesting anything, because I don't understand what you're trying to do.

Any number of mail servers are available for free. If you want to stay in the Java domain, check out Apache James.
