Need Mail Account information in Web Application

I want to embedded my Mail account information to my web application

Such as
[1] Number of new Mail in Inbox
[2] Number of Contact etc

What sort of mail system are you connecting to? Javamail (http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/) has an API that can interact with your mail server...
