Hi all,
I was working in Java & servlets. I got married & moved to atlanta. For the past 1 1/2yrs iam not working, just now i got my work permit.
Iam willing to take jobs.I can't find any jobs.I think My resume is the problem.
I am willing to do some certification,so far
I don't have any certification in Java.
My friend is telling XML certification & weblogic cert. is a good start.
Can u guys give me some suggestions to find a job or do some certifications?

I doubt your resume or certs is the problem. There are plenty of others posting here with certs and good resumes but no job. My advice is rather than spending your time getting certs and taking classes, learn a different trade. I know of no decent mechanics, electricians, etc. here that are out of work. These guys are also making the kind of money that we were in the boom days. You can always keep your coding skills up at night but I think in the volatile economy it makes sense to have 2 different careers to leverage.
