Please help me in teaching my students the topics of I/O. It would be very nice of U if Iam given the names of some good sites that teach me I/O from the ground up , rather than, advising me to go for a book.

You can start with the Java Tutorial Essentual Java Classes It covers the basic IO streams and Readers and Writers. You can get TIJ2 as a pdf on line and it has a chapter on IO. Follow that with the tutorial on Custom Networking which is quite a jump but....
Don't discount getting a good book. IO and Streams by Oreilly is excellant for this. If your an instructor at an accredited school, most Publihers will give you a book free for evaluation.
