can i say that using wrapper classes to write slows the movement of streams through network..
for example if we use PrintWriter to write on OutputStream
& BufferedReader to read from InputStream,
if they slows the transmission of streams then can someone tell which class i should use to write to & read from the strems over the network through sockets...
thanx in advance...

You would have to do peformance tests with each of the the classes to see which ones may or may not degrade performance. Ensure you do this when things are pretty much stable with the network. As a general rule, as long as the wrapper class you are using (ProntWrtier and BufferedInputStream both do this) Make the most effecient use of the packet size on your network, Network speeds are the limitiing factor for data reading and writing.
