how top read and write into file simultaneously

My problem is lets say there is one thread which write into file a.txt and other thread will read the same file a.txt simultaneously ,First thing is it possible and yes HOw ...sample code for above is really helpful for me

Why do you need to do this? Perhaps there is a better solution. RandomAccessFile might allow this, but I wouldn't recommend the approach to begin with.
