hi ,
The class java.io.ByteToCharConverter used for character encoding conversions was present in jdk 1.1 but in latest versions its not included. Can anyone tell me how can i achieve this, are there any APIS for this.
Regards,
shankar.

The class java.io.ByteToCharConverter was never listed in a public API, so I don't know where it comes from. Character encoding is managed through a number of classes - check out the constructors for InputStreamReader, OutputStreamWriter, and String.
