Hi all, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but I need to write an app that commicates via at Commands with a cell modem, the modem will be connected to the system via one of the com port, I unfortunatly have no experence in working with com port , Could anybody maby post a url or code of how i can access the com port (/dev/ttyS0) the app needs to be able to run on both windows and linux ... thanks

For a start you'll need to use the CommAPI available from Sun (I'll go find a link in a second).
Your first problem is that they are platform-specific, but there are ways around that.
