Removing removable media can at times be tricky, but with enough practice, and patience, just about anyone can master it.
Now while I'm not completely familiar with all the various types of systems out there, I have found in my experience that most removable media devices will have some sort of mechanism which makes the task of removing the removable media as painless as possible. I would start first by looking for an "Eject", "Open/Close", or "Remove" button somewhere on that device.
Mind you, some tape jukeboxes require a series of complicated keypad presses to successfully remove the removable media, and I generally find myself just using a screwdriver.
