How do I read a .txt file and store its contents in a Oracle database? The database is already builted with its columns names and is empty and I want to put all the data in the text file into the database.
I heard of creating (masks or flags?!) so that it can be inserted in its corresponding row in the database?

Does anyone knows how to do that?

Thank you all

Welcome to the Ranch campos.

What you ask for cannot answered in a couple of lines!
Try reading first IO: reading and writting and JDBC database access tutorials from the Sun site.
