I just heard on MSNBC that identity thieves are using postings on Monster.com to steal personal information. MSNBC said to NOT GIVE OUT YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER OR CREDIT CARD NUMBER when applying to a job posting.
Just thought I would pass that along.

Who would post a credit card number and why??? Here's an article about what's going on on CNN:
http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/internet/02/28/monster.theft.ap/index.html
BTW, have you noticed that more and more wherever you buy things they ask you for your address and phone number? JUST SAY NO! I usually ask: "Do you need that?" They never do.
Here's another related issue:
http://www.cnn.com/2003/TRAVEL/02/28/airport.security.ap/index.html (A new system would check things like credit reports and bank activity to assign a threat level to airline ticket buyers)
When these people start piecing information together, they can make any inference they want.
JUST SAY NO, NO, NO!
