Hi folks,

I am working on a project wherein i have to zip and unzip a file using password .I downloaded a java component ,but was unable to efficiently unzip my zip files using password.

Can any body suggest me a java library/component that will accept a file and do zipping and unzipping with a password.

I will also be really grateful ,if somebody suggest me a component that would do the same above functionality using Streams.

Eagerly waiting for your replies ASAP.

Yeah, when you find one, let me know!

If you want to write your own decrypting class, you can probably use the library provided by http://www.bouncycastle.org/

You might be able to buy a command line interface package from Winzip or someone like that, and then exec() whatever you're supposed to call.

You'd think this would be pretty standard, right? Well, I remember reading a few months ago that the encryption algorithms used by Winzip and PKZip for password-protecting zip files may be different in the near future...talk about a mess...
