Java Folks,

I have a compressed Blob stored in the Oracle 7 Database and I am not able to convert it to a normal file... Any clue? Any decompression package?

Note: I was able to extract it but the data is non-printable because of compression.

Any hint is highly appreciated.

Amer.

Hi,

This is the complex part . I don't know what technique has been used!

The file starts with:

00000000 0C 50 1E 45 00 17 2A 16 06 70 00 12 2A 5C 48 10 00 0F 00 78 7B

Thanks.

Your best bet is to track down the process which is putting data into the database and disecting it to find the file format. If you don't have access to it you can try to figure out the file format by comparing the file header to various file formats.
