how do i view text file in unix

my program will generate text file that is store in client pc. the promblem is that when view at unix operating system it is display as @ and the text is too long
below are syntax to generate the source file

The promblem is if i close the stream1 when the it is not null does not make sense. Please anyone kindly help me.

Perhaps the problem is that this page throws an exception at the end, every time:

if (stream1 == null){
stream1.close();

Shouldn't that be "if (stream1 != null)" ?
