Hi Ranchers,
I am tired of searching jobs here. I was thinking maybe I should move to India and try for a job. Would love to hear from you..
Here's my story -- I completed my MCA in India in 2001 and got an offer with a fortune 500 software company in India(in Java), I completed my academic project there, then due to recession they delayed for a period of nearly 8 months, in the interval I got married and came to the US, and I did not take that job. Then I completed SCJP 1.4 and am currently involved in an volunteer project in Swing.
Where do I stand now in the Indian Job market? I have got an call for test in Infosys, but I do not know if I go just for this, I will get or not and whether there are other opportunities..
Thanks a lot... and sorry for boring u with my life history

Hi Sun,
One step at a time. Is Infosys here in US? Try the closer one first, if's not working out. You will do the next step that is booking a fly out to India. You are lucky to have an alternative solution. Some people just stuck here and ride the tide with the rest US population.
Regards,
MCao

Java technology is not in full demand in India as it was last/2 years back.Mainly companies ask for some application server programming experience like Weblogic/websphere in addition with XML,UML.

Sunita:

To get a job as a fresher is damn difficult,It is good that you have got a call from infosys, they are recruiting a lot of people these days,If you clear the exam and interview that would be best as this is india's no.1 .
Try to arrange an interview in tcs(Tata Consultancy) too ,or try to show some dummy projects as well as some experiance in java and related technologies with certification, and try thru job sites(be very clear about yr projects)
The end of the theme is that try to get a job anyhow.
Things can settled later, experiance is must.
