Hi, all professors and experts,

I am using NetBeans 5.5.1 IDE.
I don't know where is a good place to put a file "plotdata.bin".
Thanks

Somebody suggests it is in the folder

But how can I do it since before I compile it or build the project, the folder doesn't exist at all.

You could create the directory yourself or create a "resources" directory and put it in the classpath for your application.
I do mostly web apps, so there's always lots of resources, images, static files and so on to manage. I use Ant to automate my builds and store my resources in the source tree. When the build does its thing, one task will be to put the resources in the correct place.
