Dear Sir,

I am confused of using HttpClient. What is the use of HttpClient and what is the difference between ftpClient and httpClient. Can i create folder and upload folders/files using HttpClient. Please throw some light on this.

- regards,
Rodricks.

The difference is that one is an API for the FTP protocol, while the other is an API for the HTTP protocol. Those two protocols do very different things, so there isn't much overlap between them.

HttpClient can be used to upload files to an HTTP server, if the server side is prepared to accept them. It can't create directories. FTP can do that, if there's an FTP server.

HttpClient is used for programmatic access to a web server. Sometimes it's useful to automate the interaction with some web site (say, downloading of some files or downloading and saving certain pages).
