JavaRanch has inspired me a lot and i think i shld ask the experts and experienced gurus here abt the twist which im plannig to take in my career. I'm a BSc (3 yrs Bachelors degree) graduate in Computer Science (full time ) and did Masters in the same (part time).. I have 3 yrs of exp in java and have got good exp in Swing, JSP, Servlets, EBJ, Sabre etc etc..But I cldnt find a good break in my career yet, im not getting the right payment, i cant pay for a java cerification exam fee with my one months salary
, u can guess how much im getting.. SO, wat shld i do ?? i took SCJP last October and gonna write SCWCD soon..My question is, shld i stick on java ??? I have plans to shift to Mainframe or SAP coz there are lots of openings here these days..By the way, I'm an Indian...Wat makes me think to shift to mainframe or SAP coz i have been kicked out at many final round HR interviews coz i dont have BE, BTEch (4 year degree)..
I love working on java nd i wish if i cld get into a good cmpny where in can ride a gravy train...
Anyway, cld anyone tell me the the best option for me ?? shld i go for mainframe or SAP..Does a mainframe/SAP professsional has a steady career ?? will it help me to get put some money to my account ??? is it possible for me to get into a mpnay with my academic background ?? guide me in my career..
