If you are having a problem with your code, you need to tell us about the problem, not ask questions like "tell me about io streams".

The IO chapter in Thinking in Java does a pretty nice job of organizing all the confusing classes in Java io. See if that helps, and if not post something more specific as Bear suggested. The ranch really works best when you share code that almost works.
