Hai All,

In my standalone Java application, using apache FTPClient to connect FTP server from my Solaris server. In First time FTP is connected then Files are uploaded and downloaded from/to FTP server. In second time when i tried same process,
Java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out exception occurred.
After run my application first time, even I not able to connect Ftp server out of my application.

Application process steps:

1.connect Ftp
2.files are upload
3.disconnect ftp
4.End

Please give me sugesstion to solve this issue.

Thanks and Regards,

Hai All,

Ftp server allows only 2 connections at a time. Consider 2 connections are busy when i try to connect 3rd connection what exception can occur.
i hope "java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out" can not occur.

Please clarify.

Apparently, the third connection cannot be created within the timeout period. The server apparently does not give a reason for why, or the library does not recognize the reason properly.

What message do you see when you try the third connection in a non-Java FTP program? What happens if you try a different library, like JvFTP?
