Hi,

In my application the report server is running on a dedicated machine and generating the report on the same machine.

I want to read the report from my application wherein my application server is running on different machine than Report server. My application is following J2EE architecture.

Please suggest me some ways how can I achieve it using Java code.
I guess one of the possible solution could be using "Webservices/Filenet"

It all depends on what services your report server makes available and, of course, what information the report server needs to do its job.

The four main methods would be, in decreasing order of preference:

Report saved on shared volumes (NFS, Windows shares)
HTTP (report generated into a web-accessible directory)
FTP (same idea)
A custom file server of some kind, as you've suggested
