You can't append a page to a document, but you can append two PDF documents to one another. iText includes utility classes for merging/appending PDFs; they're in the tools and toolbox packages.

The PDF standard was designed to let you append pages and any other changes to an existing document, although iText may not let you do this without rewriting the PDF. PJX and jPod are both supposed to support incremental updates.

But we have to append to existing document.

You can transform this problem into the one you solved already by saving the page to be appended into its own PDF file.

NO!

So just write the new page to its own file, then append the documents together!
