I want to access an external server through a jsp? can i do it via using pageContext.include() or response.sendRedirect()?
I also want to check whether the web server is running on that external server or not?Condition is we can't change or add any file on the external server.

Preeti,
If you want to check whether external server is alive and access resource from that server, try these classes
java.net.HttpURLConnection
