what is the role of flush here and why it is important

Ramy,
The flush attribute forces the container to "flush" the content of its buffer to the browser.
It is VERY important in JSP 1.1 because you had to specified flush=true (was it a bug or an intended behavior, I can't say).
In JSP 1.2, you can choose whether or not you flush immedialtly the included page (so flush=true�false)
