Actually i am working on a discussion forum using jsp but coming across a problem because i don't know the tag of how to change the content of jsp page dynamically.
The actual problem is i have divided particular topics according to forums like the same way this site is using.I was very impressed with the way this forum is working.
I have kind request to the moderators of this site as well as other people if they can provide any clues to me.
Thank you.

As far as I can tell. This site uses
a non-Java cgi solution for forums.
Ultimate BB is a perl program with
no database backend (poor search
functions).
Maybe we should consider using a
Java based discussion forum such
as Jive.
Or,maybe JavaRanch users can wrote
our own BB software from scratch.

Author and all-around good cowpoke

Changing the content of JSP pages dynamically is typically done with custom taglibs or "JavaBean" helper classes - as opposed to coding lots of logic in the JSP itself. Take a look at the source of one of these pages to see how hidden variables in a form are used to provide parameters in the request that identify the forum, etc.
