Hello,
I am using Access 2002 with my JavaBeans. One of the tables has a Memo field. When I query it and try to store it in a Hashtable in my JavaBean code the Memo field goes in as an empty string. The way I see it, the problem could lie in the SQL or the ResultSet.
That is, either
the field never gets retrieved from Access
or
the field gets retrieved from Access but does not get stored in the ResultSet
To get the field out of the ResultSet I tried changing it from
// here rs is the name of my ResultSet
rs.getString("myfield");
to
(String)rs.getObject("myfield");
that did not seem to work.
Any suggestions?
Many thanks,
George

You should be able to store any object in a hashtable with the appropriate key. You may want to verify that you are actually retrieving the information from the DB
