I am green to jsp/servlet. get some troubles during studing jsp.
I have create a simple jsp file just to say hello.
it can run under weblogic server. but when i run it under the jbuilder6, it get some strange exceptions like that:
excepton start:
java.lang.NullPointerException
--------------- nested within: ------------------
"hellojsp.jsp": weblogic.utils.AssertionError: ***** ASSERTION FAILED ***** - with nested exception:
[java.lang.NullPointerException]
java.lang.NullPointerException
--------------- nested within: ------------------
"hellojsp.jsp": weblogic.utils.AssertionError: ***** ASSERTION FAILED ***** - with nested exception:
[java.lang.NullPointerException]
Build cancelled by user
exception end.
It is vexatious for me. I try to run the sample jsp such as shopingcart which ships with jbuilder, they are working right. But my pool jsp ...... How to fit it? Please help me!!
thank you.

This is a wild guess (because I just had a look a jbuilder 6.0 the other day - a leap from my normal vi ) but I noticed an option under
Project -> Properties -> General
call "Enable assert keyword". The default java install is 1.3.x but the assert keyword is only available in 1.4. This *might* be the issue.

weblogic.utils.AssertionError isn't part of the JDK, It's WebLogic's specific error.
This sounds like an integration issue with JBuilder and WebLogic. You probably have a setting wrong. Read through the manuals to ensure you have everything set right. A wild guess is the Integrated WebLogic Server can't find the tools.jar which contains the compiler it needs to compile JSP's.
