Is there any disadvantage of returing Resultset from a JavaBean to JSP?

From my point of view,
Its not good idea,do all the database stuff in at serverside using javabaen and pack the result as a Vector or Hash etc. and return to JSP, then use iteration or enumeration in ur JSP to display it.

Is It passible to use servlets insted of java beand for database logic. If it so, How can I get the object servlet to JSP.
