I am very new to tags. On trying to use some ready made tag library from the
www.jsptags.com site i got stuck in opening the following for use .
Can someone please tell me the steps in opening the following file formats :
xxxxxx.jar (Java Archive)
xxxxxx.war (Web Archive)
References are welcomed as well.Cheers

Why so u need to open them ? Simply refer the tag in ur jsp pages.
u can use jar -xvf xxxx.jar to extract the contents of these files

I need to have a look at the actual source code for all files before i can modify for my use.
Winzip worked for the WAR file, but not the
the JAR.Is there a definite way around it
aside from command line.cheers

Winzip also works with jar files. Select the jar file and then press shift button and then right click ur mouse button on the selected file. Then open with option is displayed..Select winzip to open ur file..

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
