can anyone tell me
1) the difference b/n include and jsp:include?
2) how do i used the input type hidden and pass the value, must the <input type> in the <form>?

Hello!
1.
The include directive includes a page or a file statically on the time of translation of jsp into servlet. It means that the contants of the file we want to include is paste into the jsp and becomes static and if we change the file we included there is no change occurs in the jsp.
While in other hand jsp:include includes a page dynamically on request time.
2.
Yes u need to use the <input type="hidden"> tag b/w the <form></form> tags. On submit of the form the hidden field's name and value pass as a parameter with the request.
