I would like to know how to access windows username & password so that can be used to access the web based application

Hi,
I think it is possible if you use JAAS (Java Authentication and Authorisation Service)
In JRun4, they have provided JDBC, LDAP and Windows authentication options.
They have used the JAAS.
So explore more about JAAS in www.java.sun.com.

I believe the new version of Struts (still not a stable release) will allow integration with JAAS. You might try that.
