I'm a Java Developer mainly creating software. I'm just getting into Java Web Development and am wondering if it is better to have a Bean handle Java Logic or include Java scriplet code?
Why one over the other?

It is good to use java beans or custom taglib to separate presentation code from data/logic. In this way the software is easy to maintain and develop since the interface developer may not need to know about java coding. Java logic developer may not need to know html, etc.
Regards
hope help

I agree. More specifically, with JSTL, there are even fewer excuses to use scriptlets.
